JUDGMENT
Dated this the 23rd day of February, 2026 The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayers:
“(i) issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ, order or direction compelling the respondents No. 1 and 2 to take necessary steps to stop the illegal constructions of the 3rd respondent.
(ii) issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ, order or direction compelling the respondents No. 1 and 2 to consider and take necessary steps on the basis of Ext.P2 and Ext.P4 complaints within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble court.
(iii) Direct the respondents No. 1 and 2 to take necessary steps to demolish the illegal construction of the 3rd respondent in the puramboke land within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble court.
(iv) Pass such other writ, orders or directions deemed fit and necessary by this Court in the facts and circumstances of this case And (v) Allow the Writ Petition with costs to the petitioner.”
2. When the matter was taken up for consideration today, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that nothing survives in the writ petition and that the petitioner does not intend to prosecute the case further.
