IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
VIJU ABRAHAM, J
LUKMAN – Appellant
Versus
THE THAHASILDHAR (L.R.) – Respondent
WP(C) NO. 26679 OF 2020

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SRI.P.M.ZIRAJ
For the Respondents: GP - NIMA JACOB

Court's dismissal of petition does not preclude future applications by petitioners for land assignment.

Headnote:The petitioners sought a direction for the consideration of applications for land assignment. The Government Pleader indicated that no applications were pending. The Court, noting this, dismissed the petition. The dismissal does not prevent the petitioners from filing a proper application as per law. The outcome maintains procedural integrity while allowing future legal avenues for the petitioners.

JUDGMENT

The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to consider and pass orders on Exts.P2 to P5 applications seeking assignment of land.

2. The learned Government Pleader, upon instructions, submits that no such applications are received and pending.

Therefore, I am of the view that no relief can be granted to the petitioners in this writ petition and is accordingly dismissed. It is made clear that the dismissal of the writ petition will not stand in the way of the petitioners for filing a proper application for assignment of land, in accordance with law.
