JUDGMENT
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers.
“i) call for the records leading to Ext.P1 and quash the same by issuing a writ of certiorari or other appropriate writ, order or direction;
ii) declare that Ext.P1 order is passed by the District Magistrate, 4th respondent without complying the directions/guidelines in Ext.P2 circular;
iii) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents not to close down toddy shops of the petitioners in Group No.II, III, IV, V, VI, XIII and XIV in Palakkad Excise Range in pursuance to Ext.P1 order on 23.02.2026 from 6 AM to 10 PM in connection with the temple Festival, ‘Pudussery Vedi of Pudusseri Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple’; and iv) grant such other and further reliefs as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case”.
2. An interim order was passed by this Court on 20th February 2026 staying Ext.P1, and the period mentioned therein is already over.
Accordingly, nothing further remains to be considered in this writ petition, and the same is closed as infructuous.
