JUDGMENT

The writ petition is filed with the following prayers.

“(i) Issue a writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction calling for the records leading to Exhibit P3 order and to quash the same to the extent it prohibits sale of liquor in Hotel Chanakya, Chandranagar, Palakkad and Hotel Srichakra International, Chandranagar, Palakkad on 23rd of February 2026;

(ii) Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents not to interfere with the sale of liquor in Hotel Chanakya, Chandranagar, Palakkad and Hotel Srichakra International, Chandranagar, Palakkad on 23rd of February 2026;

(iii) Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to permit the petitioners to sell liquor in Hotel Chanakya, Chandranagar, Palakkad and Hotel Srichakra International, Chandranagar, Palakkad on 23rd of February 2026;

&

(iv) to grant such other and further reliefs as are just, proper and necessary or may be prayed for ”.

2. An interim order was passed by this Court on 20th February 2026 staying Ext.P3, and the period mentioned therein is already over.

Accordingly, nothing further remains to be considered in this writ petition, and the same is closed as infructuous.
