The accused persons 1 and 2 in C.C No.1018 of 2023 pending before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Mavelikkara, arising out of Crime No.573 of 2023 of Kurathikady Police Station, Alappuzha, filed this Crl.M.C under Section 528 BNSS praying for quashing all proceedings against them. 2. At the time of arguments, it is revealed that already trial was commenced and two witnesses were examined before the learned Magistrate. Therefore, at the time of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner limited his prayer to a direction to the learned Magistrate to dispose of this case in a time bound manner.

As per the report dated 28.01.2026, the learned Magistrate requested for a period of five months for the disposal of this case. Therefore, this Crl.M.C is disposed of with a direction to the learned Magistrate to dispose of C.C No.1018 of 2023 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
