IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
HARISANKAR V. MENON, J
SASEENDRAN V.K – Appellant
Versus
STATE OF KERALA – Respondent
JUDGMENT
The petitioners have filed the captioned writ petition seeking a direction to the police authorities to provide protection against the alleged threat made by the party respondents herein.
2. Heard Smt.Reni James, the learned counsel for the petitioners; Smt.K.A.Sanjeetha, the learned counsel for respondents 4 and 7; as well as the learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.
3. The learned Government Pleader submits that, as of now, there is no threat from the side of the party respondents against the petitioners herein. The learned counsel for the party respondents would also submit that a civil suit is pending between the parties, which was instituted after the filing of the writ petition.
4. In any view of the matter, I am of the opinion that, at present, as pointed out by the learned Government Pleader, there is no subsisting threat as alleged in the writ petition.
5. In such circumstances, this writ petition would stand closed, recording the submission made by the learned Government Pleader. However, it is made clear that the petitioners would be at liberty to approach the police authorities, if and when found necessary.
