2026 Supreme(Online)(Ker) 14238

IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
C. JAYACHANDRAN, J
CYRIL MATHEW – Appellant
Versus
THE VILLAGE OFFICER, VAGAMON VILLAGE OFFICE – Respondent
WP(C) NO. 225 OF 2026

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SRI.JOHNSON MANAYANI, SRI.JEEVAN MATHEW MANAYANI
For the Respondents: SR.GOVERNMENT PLEADER-SMT.DEEPA NARAYANAN

The court affirms the continuation of compliance with interim orders regarding possession certificates, emphasizing the need for lawful adherence without recurrence of past issues.

Headnote:This case involves a writ petition filed by the petitioner under article 226 of the Constitution concerning possession certificate issues. The court addressed the interim order already issued, stating the petitioner's concern regarding future occurrences. The court confirms that necessary actions will follow the interim order, resulting in the closure of the petition.

JUDGMENT

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, pursuant to the interim Order passed by this Court, a fresh possession certificate, without any rider, has already been issued. The solitary concern surviving for the petitioner is that he may not be put to the same ordeal, in the coming years, as well. Necessary cue from the interim Order will be taken by the concerned among the respondents. Besides, learned Senior Government Pleader will give necessary instructions/advise in this regard.

With the above observation, this Writ Petition will stand closed.
