These applications are filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, BNSS )
seeking regular bail.
2. The applicants are the accused Nos.1 to 3 in Crime No.237/2026 of Adoor Police Station, Pathanamthitta District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 189 (1)(c), 189(4), 190, 191(3), 296(b), 110, 115(2) and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 .
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the accused persons had animosity with Jiju, a friend of the defacto complainant with regard to property dispute. The accused persons 1 to 6 formed themselves into an unlawful assembly on 11.02.2026 at 10.30 am and reached Pallimukku near Marthoma church in a car and wrongfully restrained the defacto complainant and others, uttered obscene words and the accused No.1 attempted to hit the neck of the defacto complainant using chopper which he evaded and hit on the left e
