JUDGMENT

(Dated this the 27th day of February, 2026)

The limited relief sought in this OP (DRT) is for a direction to dispose of S.A. No. 353 of 2022 pending before the Debt Recovery Tribunal-II, Ernakulam within a time frame.

2. A report was called for from the Tribunal and a report dated 17.02.2026 has been received, wherein it is stated that the term of the Presiding Officer expires on 16.03.2026, yet no communication is received regarding the extension of the service period. It is further stated that in case of continuance of the Presiding Officer, the Tribunal would require two months’ time from 07.04.2026 for disposal of the said Securitisation Application.

3. In view of the above, this Original Petition is disposed of directing the Debt Recovery Tribunal-II, Ernakulam to dispose of S.A. No. 353 of 2022 on or before 30.06.2026.

The Original Petition stands disposed of.
