JUDGMENT
The petitioner is the holder of a regular stage carriage permit on the route Maniyamparambu – Kottayam in respect of the vehicle bearing registration No.KL-05-Y-5247. Against the refusal of renewal of permit by the RTA, the petitioner preferred appeal before the State Transport Appellate Tribunal and the Tribunal, dismissed the appeal by Ext.P6 as not maintainable since the final decision on Ext.P5 proceedings of the Regional Transport Authority was pending. Ext.P7 is the application for renewal of permit filed in terms of Ext.P5 decision.
2. The learned counsel on both sides submits that final proceedings pursuant to Ext.P5 has been issued as per G.O(P) No.8/2026/Trans. dated 01.03.2026 and there is an approved scheme in respect of Kottayam – Neendoor via Medical College, published by notification SRO No.282/2026 dated 01.03.2026.
3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the
2nd respondent to consider Ext.P7 application for temporary permit in the light of the SRO referred to above and untrammeled by Ext.P6 order and after hearing the 3rd respond
