JUDGMENT
Ext.P7 is an application preferred by the petitioner for effecting transfer of registry under Rule 28 of the Transfer of Registry Rules , 1966. The same has not been acted upon by the
2nd respondent/Tahsildar, is the short grievance.
2. Learned counsel would submit that, previously, petitioner's father and mother were in possession of the property for a long time and after their death, the petitioner is in possession. In the backdrop of the petitioner's settled possession, he is entitled to the transfer of registry as envisaged in Rule 28 , is the argument advanced.
3. Learned Government Pleader would submit that there can be a direction to consider Ext.P7 application within a time frame. 4. Accordingly, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P7, in accordance with law, expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Petitioner will produce a copy of this judgment before the 2nd respondent, for compliance. Needless to say that, all procedural formalities as contemplated in Rule 28 shall be followed before taking a call in Ext.P7. The petitioner can place judgments on the point, in favour of the petitioner. The impact of the said judgments will necessarily be considered by the 2nd respondent.
This Writ Petition will stand allowed, as indicated above.
