When the matter was taken up for consideration on 05.03.2026, learned counsel appearing for the 11th respondent submits that the matter has become practically infructuous, inasmuch as the quarrying activity has already been completed. Today when the matter came up for consideration, learned counsel appearing for the 11th respondent handed over a copy of the communication issued by the Senior Geologist, Thiruvananthapuram dated 06.12.2024, whereby the final quarry closure plan submitted by the 11th respondent has been approved.

In the light of the above, nothing survives in this writ petition. It is accordingly closed.
