The Court emphasized the need for timely resolution of execution proceedings by directing the Family Court to act within a specified timeframe.

J U D G M E N T

Devan Ramachandran, J The limited plea of the petitioner is that the learned Family Court, Palakkad, to be directed to dispose of E.P.No.66 of 2024 in O.P.No.287 of 2019, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. This Court is aware that the Hon'ble Supreme Court has recently directed all Family Courts and all other Courts to dispose of execution proceedings, as early as possible, but not later than six months.

3. We are sure that, since the execution proceedings in this case have has pending for nearly two years, the afore direction should apply.

In the above circumstances, we allow this original petition, directing the learned Family Court, Palakkad, to dispose of the execution proceedings in question, after affording necessary opportunities to both sides, as expeditiously as possible, but not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
