The court upheld that satisfactory progress in public infrastructure projects can resolve grievances, reflecting the importance of cooperation among authorities.

In view of the decisions/recommendations recorded in the minutes of the meeting held on 09.01.2026 under the Chairmanship of the District Collector, which inter alia includes a decision/recommendation with regard to construction of the Underpass at Chakkarakadavu, and the affidavit filed by the NHAI affirmed on 26.02.2026 stating that the modifications can be carried out on the basis of the sketch to be received from the Municipality concerned indicating the existing entry, exit and ‘0’ points and in view of the assurance of the District Collector with regard to the use of the service road by the light motor vehicles and also, having regard to the fact that the Project Director acknowledged that the issue with regard to the construction of ramps and certain locations would be examined and appropriate feasible solution will be explored in accordance with the technical standards and safety requirements and the NHAI would also consider any proposal along with the estimate submitted by the Municipality with regard to the drainage along with the service road, we are satisfied with the progress made in this regard and we are of the view that the grievance of the writ petitioner has been adequately addressed.

The WP(PIL) stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
