JUDGMENT

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for the following reliefs:

“i) Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or Direction commanding the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider Exhibit P5, P5(a) and P5(b) applications and to transfer / change the name of registered owner and permit holder of Stage Carriage Vehicles bearing Registration Nos. KL 35 E 5629, KL 04 AB 8947 and KL 31 C 3355 as sought by the petitioner, within a time limit to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court; and ii) Issue a Writ in the nature of the Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider Exhibit P6 representation in accordance with law, within a time limit to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.”

The grievance of the petitioner is that, respondents 2 and 3 have not so far considered Exts.P5, P5(a) and P5(b) applications for transfer of ownership of vehicle Nos.KL 35 E 5629, KL 04 AB 8947 and KL 31 C 3355 respectively and Ext.P6 representation for early consideration of the aforesaid applications.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner was heard on 18.11.2025 and Exts.P5, P5(a) and P5(b) applications will be placed before the Regional Transport Authority in the next meeting itself and orders thereon will be passed within a period of two months thereafter. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case and having considered the submissions made across the Bar, there will be a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to consider and pass orders on Exts.P5, P5(a) and P5(b) applications, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
