The court affirmed the validity of virtual attendance during the marriage registration process, concluding that registration rendered the petition moot.

Headnote:The court analyzed the interim order dated 20.10.2022, permitting the registration of marriage of the petitioners without physical presence, thereby recognizing the validity of virtual attendance. The court found that since the marriage registration occurred, the matter was rendered moot and dismissed the writ petition as nothing else remained for consideration. The court explicitly stated, 'In the light of the above, nothing survives for consideration and accordingly this writ petition is closed.'

JUDGMENT
