We have heard Mr. R.K. Prasanth, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Jacob P. Alex, learned counsel for the respondents.
2. The mediation has failed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that arrears of rent agreeable to a sum of Rs.6,82,620/- is due and payable as on 31.01.2026. In view of the pendency of the proceedings and even otherwise, we are satisfied that the petitioner was able to demonstrate sufficient cause for not being able to pay the arrears, we permit the petitioner to deposit the aforesaid sum to the credit of RCP No.1 of 2025 pending before the Munsiff Court, Thiruvalla within a period of four weeks from today and in the event the said amount is deposited, the respondent shall be entitled to withdraw the same and the proceedings may be closed. However, in case of default, the proceedings may continue. There shall be an unconditional stay of operation of the impugned order for
