O R D E R
This application is filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita , 2023 (for short, BNSS ), seeking regular bail.
2. The applicant is the sole accused in Crime No.210/2026 of Ponnani Police Station, Malappuram District. The offences alleged are punishable under Sections 126 (2), 115(2), 118(1), 110, 351(2) and 296(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita , 2023. 3. The prosecution case, in short, is that on 27.02.2026, at approximately 09:30 p.m. at a place called Kandanakam, the applicant committed a violent assault on the defacto complainant and his daughter. The motive for the act is attributed to a prior enmity arising from the complainant questioning the applicant's habit of using abusive language and a recent dispute regarding the complainant removing a coconut leaf that had fallen onto the pathway. It is alleged that the applicant, armed with a sickle, arrived at the scene with the premeditated intent to commit murder. He allegedly threw the sickle at the complainant's daughter, causing an injury to her abdome
