The petitioner states that he is in a romantic relationship with the detenu, who is the daughter of respondent Nos. 3 and 4. It is further contended that the parties were planning to solemnize their marriage. According to the petitioner, upon respondent Nos. 3 and 4, becoming aware of the said relationship, the detenu was unlawfully confined. The petitioner submits that, despite his attempts to contact her, he was unable to establish any communication. In the aforesaid circumstances, he is stated to have lodged a complaint before the police, a copy of which is produced as Ext. P1. It is on these assertions that this Writ Petition is filed seeking, inter alia, the following reliefs:
1. Issue a writ of habeas corpus, mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to immediately release (aged 21 years) from illegal and forcible confinement and allow her to reside freely with the petitioner or in a place of her choice;
