When these matters were called today, Smt.O.M.Shalina – learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, conceded that the Special Leave Petition (SLP) against the judgments in question has been dismissed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court on 12.03.2026.
2. Smt.O.M.Shanila, thereafter, pointed out that an affidavit has been filed by the respondents, wherein, they have undertaken to comply with the directions in the judgments of this Court, not later than 30.06.2026. She explained that the afore time has been sought because, the implementation of the judgments involves calculation of arrears of pay and allowances, along with all consequential benefits from the year 1996; and that this will require verification of voluminous documents and other requisites.
3. Even though Sri.Godwin Joseph - learned counsel for the petitioners in both these cases, opposed the aforementioned time frame and requested that it be confined to not more than one month from today, we are of the view, but as a matter of indulgence and latitude alone, that the afore request
