Writ petition disposed based on respondents' undertaking to issue academic certificates by post.

JUDGMENT

Petitioner had filed this writ petition seeking the following relief;

a) “Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents, particularly respondents 1 to 4, to forthwith delete/cancel the extra course MFP-5 from the Petitioner's academic record and issue the Provisional Certificate along with the Consolidated Statement of Marks/Grade Card for the MP (MBA) (Finance) Programme to the Petitioner within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court (preferably within 15 days);”

2. The learned Standing Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the convocation for petitioner’s batch took place on 07.04.2026, and the petitioner could not attend the same. It is also submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the original grade card and other certificates issued to other students are also issued to the petitioner by post.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that they have already initiated steps to send the original certificates, including provisional certificates, mark lists, and grade cards, to the petitioner by post.

4. In view of the above submission, especially that relating to the issuance of certificates by post entitled to by the petitioner, nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition.

Accordingly, this writ petition is closed, recording the submissions made on behalf of the respondents that the original documents, including the grade card and provisional certificate, will be sent to the petitioner by post without undue delay.
