JUDGMENT

The 2nd petitioner is married to a person by name, Tanzeer. The

1st petitioner is the father of the 2nd petitioner. The 3rd respondent is the brother of Tanzeer's father and the 4th respondent is the 3rd respondent's son. It is submitted that along with the names of respondents 3 and 4 and other members of his family, Tanzeer's name was also included in the Ration Card. Since, Tanzeer shifted his residence after marriage, his name was removed from the Ration Card, so that he could apply for a new Ration Card. Due to some reason, Tanzeer could not procure a new Ration Card and this led to animosity between Tanzeer and respondents 3 and 4. According to the petitioners, on 1.8.2019, the 4th respondent came to their residence in search of Tanzeer and on being told that Tanzeer was not in the house, the 4th respondent assaulted the petitioners. This led to the registration of Crime No.1728 of 2019 of the Karamana Police Station, for offences under Sections 294(b), 354, 451 and 323 IPC. The petitioners apprehend further injury at the hands of respondents 3 and

4 and hence they seek Police protection.
