JUDGMENT

The main prayer in this Writ Petition (Civil) are as follows:

“i) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order directing the respondents to dispose Ext.P11 appeal for correction of nature of land in Ext.P10 fair value register expeditiously within a time frame in the interest of justice.”

2. Heard Sri. M.T. Balan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri. Saigi Jacob Palatty, the learned Senior Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner is the owner of total extent of 25.10 Ares in Survey No.148/11A, 148/11 A1, 148/11 A2 of Thurvoor South Village, Thuravoor Taluk, Alappuzha Revenue District on the basis of Exts.P 1 to P4 registered sale deeds. The nature of the land is described as 'purayidam' in all revenue records and title deeds except in Ext.P10 Fair Value Register, wherein it has been mistakenly noted as wet land. It is clear from Exts.P5 to P8 land tax receipts as well as from the relevant pages of thandaper register (Ext.P7) that the property covered by Exts.P1 to P4 registered sale deeds is dry land or purayidam.
