JUDGMENT
1. The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to unfreeze his account mentioned in the Writ Petition maintained with the Respondent/Bank.
2. The learned Standing Counsel for the Respondent/Bank, after getting instructions from the Bank, confirmed that the Bank has received two Requisitions for Rs.498/- and Rs.12/- for marking lien/freeze in the account of the Petitioner mentioned in the Writ Petition, and hence, the Bank has effected freezing of the account of the Petitioner. The learned Standing Counsel submitted that the details of the Requisitioning Authorities are not available.
3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is ready to forgo the aforesaid disputed amounts.
4. In view of the submission of the Counsel for the Petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent/Bank to permit the Petitioner to operate the account mentioned in this Writ Petition maintained by the Petitioner with it, limiting the freeze/lien/hold to the aforesaid amounts. The Respondent/Bank is free to effect further lien/hold/freeze in case of receipt of future requisitions.
