JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is the 2nd petitioner in OP(MV)

No.305/2022 on the files of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Vatakara. The Original Petition was filed claiming compensation for the death of the petitioner’s father, who sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident. The Tribunal, by Ext.P1, awarded an amount of Rs.14,08,045/- with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from 25.03.2022, till the date of deposit. The compensation was apportioned among the petitioners therein equally. The petitioner has filed I.A No.1/2026 in OP(MV) No.305/2022, for release of the amount awarded to her by the Tribunal. The petitioner states that, the marriage of her daughter is fixed for 25.05.2026 and she has no other sources for meeting its expenses. The Tribunal has posted the case on 23.05.2026, without considering the urgency involved. The petitioner has therefore filed this Original Petition for a direction to the Tribunal to dispose of I.A No.1/2026 within a time frame, at any rate, within 3 days
