Headnote:The petitioner filed a writ petition seeking a direction for the expeditious disposal of a pending revision petition filed before the government concerning the rejection of the approval of his appointment as an office attendant at an educational institution. The core issue addressed is the delay in processing the revision petition. The court observed that the petitioner has a legitimate expectation for a timely decision on the merits of his grievance regarding his employment status. The court directed the first respondent to consider and decide upon the revision petition within a period of three months, ensuring that both the petitioner and the manager of the school are provided with a reasonable opportunity to be heard.

JUDGMENT

Dated this the 25^th day of May, 2026 Aggrieved by the rejection of approval of appointment of the petitioner as office attendant, Ext.P12 revision is filed before the 1st respondent. Petitioner seeks for an expeditious disposal of the same.

Take into consideration the limited request made by the petitioner, I am inclined to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 1^st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P12 after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner and the 4^th respondent, and a decision in this regard shall be taken within an outer limit of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
