O R D E R
This application is filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, BNSS), seeking pre-
arrest bail.
2. The applicant is the accused No.1 in Crime No.198/2026 of Pathanapuram Police Station, Kollam District. The offence alleged is punishable under Section 318(4) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the defacto complainant had pledged gold ornaments in MJ Finance at Pathanapuram, which is owned by the applicant. The accused No.2 was an employee of the applicant. Despite repayment of the entire amount by the defacto complainant, the accused failed to return 117.67 grams of gold ornaments pledged by the defacto complainant and thereby committed the aforesaid offence.
