2026 Supreme(Online)(Ker) 31386

IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM
Bechu Kurian Thomas, J
Chinmaya Vidyalaya – Appellant
Versus
Central Board Of Secondary Education – Respondent
WP(C) NO. 5932 OF 2026

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Suresh Kumar Kodoth, V. Beena
For the Respondents: Nirmal S.

A writ petition can be closed as withdrawn or infructuous upon the parties recording an amicable settlement of the underlying dispute.

Headnote:The petitioner filed the present writ petition seeking procedural relief regarding student registration. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties reached an amicable settlement, and a memo to that effect was filed before the Court. The central issue was whether the dispute between the institution and the regulatory body regarding candidate requirements remained active. Given the statement by counsel that the matter has been resolved, the Court determined that the necessity for adjudication had been extinguished. This writ petition is closed.

JUDGMENT

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner does not wish to prosecute this matter as the matter has been settled as per the memo dated 18.05.2026.

In the light of the above memo, this writ petition is closed.
