JUDGMENT

This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Ponnani, for the expeditious disposal of M.C. No.48/2025, which is one filed seeking various reliefs under the Protection of Women from the Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The petitioner herein is the petitioner in the said M.C.
2. On the previous posting date, this Court directed the learned Magistrate, before whom the matter is pending, to furnish a report regarding the present stage of the proceedings and the time required for the disposal of the said case. Pursuant to the direction of this Court, the learned Magistrate has sought six months’ time to dispose of the matter.
3. Having regard to the nature of the matter involved and the present stage of the proceedings in the said case, I am of the view that the request made by the learned Magistrate is reasonable and liable to be allowed.
4. Accordingly, the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate, Ponnani, is directed to take all necessary steps to dispose of M.C. No.48/2025, pending on its file, as expeditiously as possible and, in any event, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
