J U D G M E N T

(Dated this the 06th day of July, 2026)

This Original Petition is filed by the sole accused in C.C.

No. 311 of 2020 pending on the file of the Judicial First Class

Magistrate Court IX, Ernakulam, seeking an early disposal of the

said proceedings.

2. Pursuant to the direction issued by this Court, a report

was called for from the learned Magistrate regarding the

present stage of the case and the time required for its disposal.

In response thereto, the learned Magistrate has submitted a

report stating that the matter can be disposed of within a period

of three months.

3. Having regard to the report submitted by the learned

Magistrate and the nature of the case, this Original Petition is

disposed of with a direction to the Judicial First Class Magistrate

Court IX, Ernakulam, to dispose of C.C. No. 311 of 2020 as

expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three

months from the date of this judgment.
