ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the first respondent, dated 16.10.2023, thereby rejected the request made by the petitioner for revocation of his order of suspension.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was recruited to the post of Executive Officer (Grade I)
and joined in the second respondent. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Assistant Commissioner. While being so, pursuant to the registration of FIR in Crime No.2/AC/2022 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, for the offence punishable under Section 7(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Therefore, the petitioner was deemed to be suspended by an order dated 27.09.2022. Thereafter, the petitioner was also served with a charge memo dated 02.02.2024 consisting of six charges as follows:-
