ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to disburse the different sum of interest paid towards the belated disbursement of the petitioner's commuted value of pension with further interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of entitlement till the date of actual payment.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he retired from service from the respondents Corporation, however, his retirement benefits was settled belatedly. Therefore, the petitioner approached this Court earlier seeking interest for the belated payment of his retirement benefits and this Court directed the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 4% p.a.

for the belated payment of his terminal benefits.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that insofar as the interest towards commuted value of pension is concerned, the respondents had disbursed only lesser amount than the one as calculated by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner seeks for the difference in interest amount paid towards belated payment of commuted value of pension to the petitioner.
