O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the 1st respondent to remove obstructions made in the Mahakavi Barathiyar Street, Theirvai Kandigai, Gomudipoundi Taluk. 2. The petitioner states that he is in possession of the land in S.No. 319/47, Theirvai Kandigai Village, measuring 8 cents, which is Grama Natham.

3. The respondent while updating the revenue records under the UDR scheme in the year 1991 found that the petitioner was in possession of the property. Accordingly, the property was assigned to the petitioner and the petitioner was in possession and enjoyment of the above land without any interference.

4. Whileso, certain obstructions were made by the respondents 2 to 5. In this regard, the petitioner approached the competent authorities.

5.The counter affidavit filed by the 1st respondent Tahsildar reveals that the subject land is classified as street in natham settlement and relevant paragraphs are extracted herein below:
