ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2023 providing the petitioner alternative permanent employment with pay protection, continuity of service, back wages and all other attendant benefits in accordance with Section 47(1) of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 and pay the petitioner's arrears of salary from 21.12.2022 to till the date of providing permanent alternative employment.

2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner joined with the respondent Corporation as Driver from

2000 and had rendered 23 years of service. During the year 2009, while he was plying the bus on the Athipatti-Tirumangalam urban route, a few students attacked the bus plied by the petitioner. As a result of which, he sustained severe injury in his right eye.
