contemplated the scheme introduced by the 1st respondent.
2. The petitioner cultivated his land at Kattursiviri Village, Kattusiviri Post, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. The crops were covered under the scheme of “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana”. When the paddy crops reached final stage, the “Blast Disease” (Kulai Noi) attacked the crops and the petitioner suffered financial loss and an application was filed to sanction the benefit under the said scheme. Since the application is pending and not considered, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

The District Collector, Villupuram filed a counter affidavit stating that the application of mismatched data was reverted back to Common Service Centre for rectification where the farmers enrolled. It will take sufficient time to complete all works in including yield loss assessment for all notified villages. Then only the Insurance Company can arrive the quantum of loss and the amount to be settled to the farmers / Insurers for the loss. The State Government monitoring and following the process of Insurance Company. The loss amount will be paid to the petitioner and other Insurers / farmers very soon.

It is further stated that the New India Insurance Company / 4th respondent now carrying out the process of checking the enrolled farmers details such as farmer name, bank account details, details of crops etc., filed survey number in the portal along with relevant records. After the completion of the above said process, the amount will be credited to the farmers bank account who were insured. The State Government is monitoring the said process.
5. In view of the counter affidavit filed by the District Collector, the respondents are directed to expedite the process and settle the insured amount as expeditiously as possible.
6. With the above said directions, this Writ Petition stands dismissed.
No costs.
