The writ petition has been filed to direct the 4th respondent to pay the insurance amount sum of Rs.5,57,293.75 (Five Lakhs Fifty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Three and Seventy Five Paise) to the petitioner's land in S.Nos.66/1, 66/8, 66/9, 67/4, 67/8, 69/2, 65/8, 67/11, 66/17, 74/5, 74/2, 74/3, 74/4 – spread over 2.83.5 Hectrs, Kattu Siviri Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District (sum insured Rs.1,75,061.25), S.Nos.120/1, 55/1, spread over 4.955 Hectrs Pelakuppam Village Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District (sum insured Rs.3,05,971.25) and S.Nos.66/4, 67/10, 67/6, 67/7, 68/5, 66/10, 66/16, 66/15, 66/3, 67/5, 66/6, 66/13, 67/9 spread over 1.235 Hectrs Kattu Siviri Village Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District (sum insured Rs.76,261.25), “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana”

contemplated the scheme introduced by the 1st respondent.

2. The petitioner cultivated his land at Kattursiviri Village, Kattusiviri Post, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. The crops were covered under the scheme of “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana”.
