By this common order, all the five Writ Petitions are being disposed.
2. A short point that arises for consideration in these writ petitions is whether the second respondent TANGEDCO was justified in appointing private respondents on priority basis under inter-caste marriage quota overlooking the rights of the petitioners?
3. In these Writ Petitions, the petitioners have challenged the appointment of the private respondents as Technical Assistant / Electrical and as Field Assistants by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) under the priority quota for contracting inter-caste marriage. The relief in these writ petitions reads as under:
