praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to

disburse the compensation award to the petitioner for the Acquisition of their

family Temple land bearing Survey No. 69/2 with an extent of 2160 sq.mt

situated at Thiruppachethi (North), Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District

for the Madurai-Rameshwaram Four way land, National Highways within a

time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The land belonging to Malaimandala Srinivasa Perumal Temple was

acquired under the provisions of the National Highway Act, 1956. The

question is to whom the compensation amount should be disbursed. Section

3(H) of the National Highway Act, 1956 deals with the issue. The petitioner

can very well make his claim before the second respondent. The second

respondent shall adhere to the procedure set out in Section 3(H) of the said Act.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order

as to costs.
