This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2024 and consequently, to direct the 1st Respondent to give permission for usage of mikes and speakers scheduled on 28.07.2024 to 30.07.2024 and to conduct an epic drama of Valli Thirumanam scheduled on 29.07.2024.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's request for conducting the Valli Thirumanan Nadagam to be held on 29.07.2024, was rejected by the first respondent in the last minute i.e., on 24.07.2024 and the same was served to the petitioner only on 27.07.2024 through post.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions from the respondent police submits that in the year 2018, a communal violence had taken place, wherein, three persons were died and a case has been registered in Crime No.32 of 2018 for the offence under Section 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 307, 302, 379 (NH) IPC and 3 of PPDL Act and 3(1)(r) (s), 3(2)(V) of Sc/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015 and in the trial, the accused persons were all convicted.
