ORDER
The present Civil Revision Petition has been instituted to direct the Sub Court, Ponneri to dispose the H.M.O.P.No.94 of 2015 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
2. The marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnised on 13.02.2013 as per Hindu Rites and Customs. Due to misunderstanding between the petitioner and the respondent, they are living separately. The petitioner-husband filed HMOP No.94 of 2015 for dissolution of marriage and the said matter is now subjudiced before the Sub-Court, Ponneri.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner mainly contended that HMOP was adjourned on several occasions and not yet disposed of. The Sub-Court, Ponneri is going on adjourning the cases and the petitioner having no other remedy approached this Court by filing the present Civil Revision Petition. It is specifically contended that for the cross-examination of PW-1, more than 15 adjournments were granted.
4. Unnecessary adjournments on flimsy grounds would cause prejudice to the parties to the litigation. Rule is to conduct the case on the date it is posted for hearing. Adjournment is an exception. Thus adjournments are to be granted only on genuine
