O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for passport.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he had applied for the passport through online portal before first respondent in anticipation of getting an employment abroad. The petitioner was also called for an enquiry. Later, the petitioner was informed that there is an FIR pending in Cr.No.1173 of 2020. Based on the same, the application given by the petitioner was not considered and the passport was not issued to the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the second respondent submitted that an FIR was registered as against 259 persons in Cr.No. 1173 of 2020 and the petitioner was added as A23. Till date, final report has not been filed.
