COMMON ORDER

These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners challenging the order passed by the District Collector Collector, Ariyalur District, Ariyalur dated 15.12.2020 granting enter upon permission to the respondents to lay the High Tension Tower line through the petitioners'

land.

2. The writ petitions were filed in the 2021 and no interim order was passed by this Court as against the impugned order of granting enter upon permission till date.

3. When the writ petitions are taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Tamilnadu Transmission Corporation would state that after the impugned order was passed, the matter has been further proceeded with. Pursuant to the grant of enter upon permission, the respondents have entered the premises of the petitioners and all the work had been completed and the electricity line was also energized. Therefore, nothing further survives for adjudication in the writ petitions and the same may be dismissed as infructuous. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners would state that the respondents have laid the High Tension Tower line through their lands without paying appropriate compensation for the same.
