There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the private respondents i.e., seventh and eighth respondents.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to initiate enquiry into the subdivision and mutation of revenue records with respect to the Survey No.292/IVI in Thanjavur District, Thanjavur Taluk, Soorakkottai, Keelavasthachavady Village, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2017, within the time stipulated by this Court. 3. The specific case of the petitioner is that the fifth respondent had issued patta to the seventh and eighth respondents without proper enquiry and therefore, it is in violation of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983. It is further case of the petitioner that although the petitioner has been continuously taking steps to rectify the mistakes in the revenue records before the third respondent, no action has been initiated by the third respondent to rectify them.
4. The affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition indicates that the petitioner has also filed a petition before the second respondent District Collector of Thanjavur
