The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on

13.08.2021 for the offence under Sections 8(C) read with 20(b) (ii) (B), 22(c), 25 and 29(1) of the NDPS Act, 1985 r/w Sectons 147, 148 of IPC in Crime No.12 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2. On 19.07.2021, the respondent police received a secret information about illegally sale of Narcotic substances at Elaya Street, Back side of Amma Hospital, Tondiarpet, Chennai. The team under Sub Inspector of Police was constituted and the raid was conducted. Five persons, standing suspiciously along with the two wheeler bearing Reg.No.TN 18E 0835, were surrounded. Three of them ran away and other, two by name Siva Sankaran @ Bittu (A1), Gobikrishna (A2) were apprehended by the police. From their possession, four pockets of NITRAVET totally 1125 tablets, weighing of 276 grams, 1.500 kg Ganja were recovered. On the same day, A1 and A2 were remanded. Based on the information given by them Yuvaraj @ Kaisamon (A3) and Johnson (A5) were later remanded to judicial custody on execution of PT warrant.
