The petitioner is before this Court seeking a mandamus to the 3rd respondent / DRO to dispose of his revision petition, dated 30.06.2023 filed under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983 and the rejoinder, dated 08.08.2024 pending on his file.

2. The facts of the petitioner's case are that the property comprised in S.No.1 measuring an extent of 25 acres situated in Kumbakudi Village, Trichy Taluk belonged to one Fazullah Khan Samoji. The said inamdarar and trustee Fazullah Khan Samoji had executed a Sasvathacowle deed in favour of one Sulthan Ibrahim. The said Sulthan Ibrahim after purchasing the above property, was in possession and enjoyment of the same. The land was, at that point in time, filled with thorny weeds which had to be removed and thereafter, the lands were levelled. The said Sulthan Ibrahim had brought the land under cultivation in the year 1961. The petitioner who is the nephew of the said Sulthan Ibrahim would submit that he had verified the document of the year 1957 and he had found that the property had not been properly described by the boundaries or survey numbers.
