[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] Prayer in this writ petition is to direct the third respondent to grant leave for a period of three days to the petitioner's father, namely, Andivel, son of Kamatchi Servai, aged about 60 years, who is confined in Madurai Central Prison, to attend his mother Shanmugammal's funeral and rituals scheduled to be performed on 02.04.2024.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2024 has been considered and the petitioner's father has been granted one day emergency leave on 02.04.2024 and it has been extended for one day and he will be surrendering today.

3. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed as no further orders are required. No costs.
