O R D E R

Heard Mr.P.Mohamed Suhail, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to approve the appointment of one Mr.M.Sebastin in the post of Lab Assistant w.e.f. 16.12.2021 by considering the petitioner's proposal dated 23.12.2021 for approval of appointment within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

3. The petitioner School, which is a minority institution has appointed one M.Sebastin as Lab Assistant vide order dated 15.12.2021 and in pursuance thereof, M.Sebastin had joined duty on 16.12.2021. The petitioner School has sent a proposal dated 23.12.2021 to the first respondent for approval of appointment of M.Sebastin as Lab Assistant. However, the first respondent has not approved the appointment of M.Sebastin till date. Hence, the petition.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the proposal of the petitioner School dated 23.12.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
