Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to restore the demolished ramp, drain cover necessary for access and steps in front of the premises of the petitioner in Door No.19, Main Road, Pudupalayam, Cuddalore forthwith and also direct the respondents to pay Rs.1 lakh as monetary compensation for the illegal act of the removal.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to restore the demolished ramp, drain cover necessary for access and steps in front of the premises of the petitioner in Door No.19, Main Road, Pudupalayam, Cuddalore forthwith and also to direct the respondents to pay Rs.1 lakh as monetary compensation for the illegal act of the removal.

2. Though the petitioner seeks for direction to the respondents to restore the demolished ramp, drain cover necessary for access and steps in front of his premises, the representation of the petitioner cannot be considered after a period of eight years. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit fresh representation on fresh cause of action and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
