O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take necessary steps to permit the petitioner's community people to worship the deity of Sri Oothukattu Renugai Mariamman Temple of Thiruvamathur Village, Villupuram District, in a peaceful manner and as per the resolution passed in the Peace Committee Meeting dated 27.07.2019.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a resident of Thiruvamathur Village and a devotee of Sri Oothukattu Renugai Mariamman Temple and there was a dispute between two communities for worshiping the deity of Sri Oothukattu Renugai Mariamman Temple and the petitioner's community people were not permitted to worship the deity. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the fourth respondent submits that there is no law and order problem with regard to worshiping the deity of Sri Oothukattu Renugai Mariamman Temple and both community people are worshiping the deity in a peaceful manner.

4. Since there is no law and order problem with regard to worshiping the deity, keeping this writ petition pending would not serve any purpose. Hence, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
