Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent for cancellation of illegally obtained Patta Nos.1050, 5133, 5285, 5601 and 5507 respectively stand in the names of respondents 2 to 7 relating to landed properties totally admeasuring 4 Acres 2 Cents comprised in Survey Nos.288/5, 290/5 and 291/3 all are situate at Mallanoor Group 44, Senkalan Vayal, Thondi, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and thereby to issue new pattas in favour of the actual legal heirs of deceased original owners of the subject lands despite the petitioner's detailed representation dated 07.08.2023.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the official respondents and the learned counsel for the fourth respondent.

2.The petitioner seeks cancellation of the petition mentioned pattas standing in the name of the private respondents. The petitioner has given a representation in this regard to the first respondent. The first respondent has submitted his report to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ramanathapuram. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Ramanathapuram is directed to issue notice to concerned parties and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
