O R D E R

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the defacto complainant has put a flex board and the same was objected by the petitioner and the petitioner is said to have kicked and slapped the defacto complainant. According to the learned counsel, no weapon was used and the injury sustained by the defacto complainant is simple in nature and he was treated as outpatient only. He further submits that Section 18 of the SC/ST (POA) Act prohibits grant of anticipatory bail in the cases registered under the SC/ST (POA) Act. In view of the bar under Section 18 of the SC/ST (POA) Act, the petitioner is inclined to surrender before the Special Court concerned and to seek regular bail. Therefore, the petitioner seeks a direction for disposal of the bail application on the same day.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered with a direction to the petitioner to surrender within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt
